FAQ
The Plant City Pig Jam is a two-day Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) State Championship Event. Join us for the Annual Plant City Pig Jam! Don't miss out on fabulous food, live entertainment, kids' activities, great merchandise, and of course BBQ! Pig Jammers will have BBQ and a lot more to enjoy - while grills will be busy most of the two days, there will also be a rock climbing wall, moon walks, vendors, and live music.
Pig Jam is held at the Randy Larson Softball Four-plex in Plant City, FL. Use 1401 Gordon Food Service Drive Plant City, FL for GPS directions. Once you arrive, parking attendants will guide you to an open parking spot. Have $10 cash ready to pay for parking.
Once you arrive on site, parking attendants will guide you to an open parking spot. There is a limited amount of priority parking for vehicles with a valid handicap tag. Parking is $10 per vehicle.
There is no admission fee to enter Pig Jam, but parking is $10 per vehicle. Enjoy live entertainment, fireworks on Friday night, and a kid’s area. BBQ prices vary by team.
Unfortunately, no furry or feathered friends are allowed in to the event area due to health codes. Service animals specifically trained to aid a person with a disability are welcome.
All BBQ teams wishing to compete in the Plant City Pig Jam must fill out an application. There is a $150 (amateur division) or $250 (professional division) entry fee.
Simply fill out a vendor application. In October, the committee will make vendor selections and notify you if you are chosen to vend at this year's event.
There is no cost to be a vendor at the Plant City Pig Jam, instead profits are split 80-20. $1USD is 1 pig buck. Patrons visit vendors and pay in pig bucks for items. At the end of the night vendors "cash in" their pig bucks for real money. The Chamber keeps 20% of earnings and the vendor keeps 80%. This way vendors don't have to pay a fee upfront to vend and it keeps the event safer with only pig bucks being circulated.
Pig bucks are the official currency of the Plant City Pig Jam. Cash MUST be exchanged for pig bucks upon entry into Pig Jam. Vendors can only accept pig bucks. One dollar = one pig buck.
